Vinyl Siding Repair
Cracks and holes can sometimes form on vinyl siding due to either extremely hot
temperatures, or physical punctures. If the crack is small, there is a way to
repair it without having to replace the entire panel.
Small repairs require you to purchase a zip tool which will allow you to remove
the damaged section. Zip tools can be found at any local hardware store. Once
the piece is removed you will need to coat the back of the crack with PVC
cleaner. Next, use PVC cement to attach a spare piece of siding to the back of
the crack.
Larger holes will most likely require you to replace the entire panel. Hopefully
you have left over panels or the name of the manufacturer. Often times, the new
siding replacement will not match the worn siding that you currently have up. If
the damaged panel is in the front of your house, you may have a problem.
For this reason, it is common for a siding company to take a panel from a more
secluded area of your home and use that panel to replace the damaged panel. This
way the new panel, that doesn’t match well, can be put back in place of the
secluded panel and kept out of vision.

besides a simple wash here and there. I particularly enjoy the way vinyl can
transform an old worn down house into a beautiful masterpiece in just a day or
two!

is like selecting a beautician to style your hair. It’s not safe to just go to
anyone because too many things could go wrong. If you do take that risk and
something does go wrong, your home, just like the hair on your head, can be
viewed and insulted by just about anyone. Unfortunately, they haven’t invented
hats for houses yet.
